IKEA made a candle that smells like meatballs

The founder of the IKEA company, Ingvar Kamprad, opened a restaurant in 1956 in the first IKEA store in Almhult, a town in the southern part of Sweden.

According to the company, Kamprad believed that “it is difficult to do business with someone on an empty stomach.” It was three decades before IKEA introduced its most famous menu item, HUVUDROLL meatballs. “We sell more meatballs than any other IKEA product in the range,” said the CEO of IKEA Food Service on one occasion.
